Le Tour de France, the World’s biggest annual outdoor sporting event, is passing through Bradfield in the Peak District National Park, Sheffield on Sunday 6th July 2014. Cotton Star Camping is located in the heart of the action, a short walk from the tour's Cote de Bradfield - a category 4 iconic hill climb! The campsite will open Friday 4th July to Monday 7th July 2014 to host a camping event for this once in a lifetime occasion. Extended stays are available before or after the event too!
We invite you to come and camp with us and enjoy the cycling, live music and beer festivals happening in Bradfield to celebrate Stage 2 of Yorkshire's Grand Depart that weekend. Designated as a spectator hub with lots happening; Bradfield will be one of the best places to be!
Our site is set in beautiful woodland and offers a unique opportunity to experience this once in a lifetime event! Either bring your own tent or we can supply to individuals, couples or family groups! We provide beds and equipment too.
Some of the regions best will visit our site. First, to ease your set up, upon arrival on Friday, Moss Valley Fine Meats will be on-site offering a bite to eat. Bradfield Brewery will deliver local beers to enjoy at your tent, to those who have pre-ordered. Then, award winning ‘Best Sheffield Sausages and Bacon’ will be cooked Saturday and Sunday mornings for delicious breakfast butties. Furthermore, fresh bread and pastries will be brought to the site. All will be available at very reasonable costs – so please bring a few pennies. All caterers and suppliers will kindly donate a percentage of their takings from the weekend to our fundraising efforts for ‘Marie Curie’ – the official charity for the Tour De France, Grand Depart 2014.
Throughout the weekend, there will be a lots of activities especially for the little people staying with us. Face painting and yellow fancy dress on the morning of the day of the big race will be fun to enjoy!
